Alan joined Charlton associates in 2004 and has a particular interest in people development issues particularly around Health, Safety and Fairness at work. He has continued his professional development completing an HR qualification in 2008, updating his health and safety qualifications with a NEBOSH qualification in 2011 and IOSH membership subsequently upgraded to technician status. Alan has worked nationally with major organisations in the private, charity and public sectors. Clients have included; The HSE; DVLA; NHS and Education; English Heritage; Willmott Dixon Construction, Wates Retail and Solutia chemicals. His background is in police training where he specialised in health and safety, diversity, mentoring and staff development. He also spent several years working on bullying, harassment and drugs issues in primary, secondary and adult education. To support his training development career he has undertaken qualifications in educational development, psychology and sociology.
